Dear FWS Community,
A vote will be held for the position of FWS Secretariat Vice Chair at our upcoming Fall Gathering on November 15th. Please note that you must be present at the Gathering in order to vote.
After careful consideration and review of the by-laws, we have confirmed that Donald Sharpensteen will be the sole candidate for the position of Vice Chair, with a term beginning on January 1st. The vote will proceed by unanimous ballot, and Donald must receive a 75% approval rate in order to be elected.
Following a review of FWS By-Laws Section 8, it was determined that Nathan Davis was ineligible to be a candidate due to his current position on the Board. In addition, it was also discovered that typically only one candidate is presented for nomination. We deeply appreciate Nathan’s willingness to serve and are grateful for his continued dedication in his current role. He remains a vital and valued part of our community. (Thank you, Nathan!)
As this is the first time our community has undertaken this process, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we’ve learned and grown through it together. We’ve identified key takeaways to help make the process smoother for future nominating committees.
